Privacy Policy

Last updated August 12, 2026

FieldIQ is a product of CompanyWRX. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

The short version

  • We collect what we need to run your workspace and bill you. Nothing else.
  • We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
  • Your job history, customers and uploaded documents are private to your workspace. Other FieldIQ customers cannot query them.
  • We do not use your business data to train public AI models.
  • Ask us to delete your account and we will, within 30 days.

Who we are

FieldIQ is operated by CompanyWRX. For any privacy question, or to make a request under the rights described below, email privacy@gofieldiq.com. A human answers.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details — company name, work email, password (stored only as a bcrypt hash, never in readable form), industry and technician count.
  • Documents you upload — manuals, wiring diagrams, warranty paperwork, service bulletins and photographs of equipment nameplates.
  • Questions you ask — the text of your queries and the answers returned, so you can review your own history and so we can tell where the knowledge base has gaps.
  • Support messages — bug reports, feature requests and any screenshots you attach.

Information from your field service software

If you connect HouseCall Pro, Jobber, ConnectWise or ServiceTitan, we read equipment records, customer names and addresses, job history and technician notes. We only read. FieldIQ never writes back to your field service system. Integration credentials are stored so the sync can run and are never shown back to you or to anyone else in full.

Information we collect automatically

Server logs including IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. We use these to keep the service up and to investigate abuse. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking on FieldIQ.

Why we are allowed to hold it

We process your data to provide the service you asked for (contract), to keep the service secure and working (legitimate interests), and to meet accounting and tax obligations (legal obligation). Where we rely on consent — for example a marketing email — you can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

Only the processors we need to operate. We do not sell personal information, and we have never done so.

ProcessorWhat it handlesWhere
DigitalOceanServers, database and document storageUnited States
AnthropicGenerates answers from retrieved documentsUnited States
Voyage AIConverts text to search embeddingsUnited States
StripeSubscription billing and card processingUnited States
ResendTransactional email deliveryUnited States

We never send card numbers to our own servers — Stripe handles payment details directly, and we only store the customer reference Stripe gives back.

AI processing, stated plainly

When a technician asks a question, we search your workspace for relevant passages and send those passages, plus the question, to Anthropic's Claude API to compose an answer. Anthropic does not use API content to train its models. We do not use your business data to train any model of our own, and your documents are never added to another customer's knowledge base.

The one exception is deliberate and visible: manufacturer documentation, which is public information, is shared across FieldIQ accounts. Anything you upload stays private to your workspace unless you explicitly mark it as shared.

How long we keep it

  • While your account is open — for as long as you keep using it.
  • After you cancel — 30 days, then deletion. Ask sooner and we will delete sooner.
  • Billing records — retained as long as tax law requires, typically seven years.
  • Server logs — rotated within 30 days.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy in a portable format. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. If you are in the EEA or UK you have these rights under the GDPR; if you are in California, under the CCPA — including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

Email privacy@gofieldiq.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Your customers' data

Much of what flows into FieldIQ is data about your customers — names, service addresses, equipment at their property. For that data you are the controller and we are your processor: we act on your instructions, we do not use it for our own purposes, and we return or delete it when you ask. If you need a data processing agreement on paper, email sales@gofieldiq.com.

Cookies

FieldIQ uses a small number of strictly necessary browser storage entries to keep you signed in and remember your workspace. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers, so there is no consent banner to dismiss.

Children

FieldIQ is a tool for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy materially we will email the address on your account before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
